George Steiner, en Gramáticas de la creación, se refiere a los científicos como los nuevos magos, versiones actuales de los viejos alquimistas que todo lo podían. Aunque el sentido es bueno, la denominación falla en el alcance. Serán mucho más que magos : serán dioses.
